What is Parenting Success?
Parenting Success is not a “parenting class” or curriculum. It is individualized cognitive-behavioral therapy designed to meet the unique needs of each child/teen and family.
-
During each session, parents learn a specific behavior management skill.
-
Between sessions, parents practice that skill.
-
At the beginning of each session, successes and challenges are discussed and problems are solved to meet unique, individual needs of families and children.
Parenting Success is based on the research-proven approach to parenting developed by Russell A. Barkley, Ph.D. and Arthur Robin, Ph.D. This approach is based on 35 years of research and clinical experience of what works for all types of struggling families.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends these behavior management tools in their articles about behavior therapy techniques that work and research-based parent training.
